The team behind OpenJornada
We built OpenJornada so any company can comply with Spain's time-tracking law without giving up open source or being locked into a vendor.
Who we are
OpenJornada is developed by HappyAndroids, a software development company specialized in custom solutions. Learn more about us at happyandroids.com.
Why OpenJornada exists
Spain's RD-Ley 8/2019 and the new 2026 time-tracking regulation require every company in Spain to record employees' working hours. The available alternatives are either paid proprietary software billed per employee, or open source tools without native Spanish legal compliance. OpenJornada was created to fill that gap: an open source, self-hosted solution built from day one to comply with Spanish law.
Our commitment to open source
OpenJornada is free software under the AGPL-3.0 license, and always will be. The code is public and auditable on GitHub: anyone can review it, modify it, and deploy it on their own server.
