Learn how to use the OpenJornada application to record your work hours quickly and easily.

1. Accessing the application

Sign in

  1. Go to the URL provided by your company
  2. Enter your company email address
  3. Enter your password
  4. Click "Sign in"

First time

If this is your first login, you will receive an email with instructions to set your password.

Forgot your password?

  1. On the login screen, click "Forgot your password?"
  2. Enter your email address
  3. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password
  4. The link is valid for 1 hour

2. Time tracking

The tracking system is automatic: it detects whether you need to clock in or out based on your last record.

Clock in

  1. From the main menu, tap "Create time record"
  2. Select your company (if you work for multiple companies)
  3. You will see a green "CLOCK IN" button
  4. Tap the button to record your clock-in
  5. A confirmation will appear with the recorded time

Clock out

  1. Go to "Create time record"
  2. You will see information about your current shift (clock-in time, time worked)
  3. Tap the gray "CLOCK OUT" button
  4. A confirmation will appear with the total shift duration
On shift

When you are working, you will see your clock-in time and elapsed time.

Off shift

When you don't have an active shift, you will only see the clock-in button.

3. Break management

You can record breaks during your work shift. Your company will have configured the available break types.

Start a break

  1. During your shift, tap "START BREAK" (orange button)
  2. Select the break type from the dropdown menu
  3. Tap "CONFIRM BREAK"
  4. The system will record the start of your break

End a break

  1. When you are on break, you will see information about the break type and duration
  2. Tap "END BREAK" (blue button)
  3. You will return to the "on shift" status

Break types

Some breaks count as work time (e.g., statutory rest) and others do not (e.g., lunch). Check with your company for the configured types.

4. Reporting incidents

If you have a problem or situation to report, you can create an incident that will be reviewed by administration.

Create an incident

  1. From the main menu, tap "Create incident"
  2. Describe the problem or situation in the text field
  3. Be as detailed as possible to facilitate resolution
  4. Tap "Submit incident"

Examples of incidents

  • I forgot to clock in this morning
  • Technical problems with the application
  • Error in a previous record
  • Questions about my records

5. Requesting record changes

If you made an error when recording the time or need to correct a record, you can request a change.

Create a change request

  1. Tap "Record change request"
  2. Select the date of the record to modify
  3. Select the company
  4. Choose the specific record (clock-in or clock-out)
  5. Enter the correct new time
  6. Write the reason for the change (minimum 10 characters)
  7. Tap "Submit request"

Important

You can only have one pending request at a time. Wait for it to be reviewed before creating another. You will receive an email when it is processed.

6. Viewing monthly reports

View your monthly work time summaries and download PDF reports.

View report

  1. From the main menu, tap "View monthly report"
  2. Select the company
  3. Select the year and month
  4. Tap "View"
  5. You will see a summary with days worked, total hours, and breaks

Download PDF

Tap the "Download PDF" button to generate a downloadable report with the breakdown of your monthly work hours.

Report details

The report includes a daily breakdown with clock-in times, clock-out times, breaks, and totals.

7. Signing monthly records

Confirm your monthly records through digital signature.

Sign a month

  1. From the main menu, tap "Sign monthly records"
  2. Select the company
  3. You will see the months pending signature (only months with records)
  4. Tap "Sign" on the month you wish to confirm
  5. Read the declaration of conformity and confirm

Important

The digital signature confirms that you agree with the records for that month. Review your monthly report carefully before signing.

8. Account settings

Change password

  1. From the main menu, tap "Settings"
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Enter the new password (minimum 6 characters)
  4. Confirm the new password
  5. Tap "Change password"

Password requirements

  • Minimum 6 characters
  • Must be different from the current password
  • A combination of letters, numbers, and symbols is recommended

9. Install as an app

You can install OpenJornada on your mobile device as a native app for quicker access.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

  1. Open the application in Safari (required)
  2. Tap the Share icon (square with arrow)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Confirm the name and tap "Add"

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open the application in Chrome
  2. Tap the menu (â‹®) in the upper right corner
  3. Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"
  4. Confirm the installation

Installation advantages

The app will open without the browser bar, taking up the full screen, and you'll have direct access from your home screen.
